Games are a great way for shy lesbians to get out and meet new lesbian friends and romantic prospects. This is especially true if you don't consider yourself the bar, club or scene type, or worse, if you feel you've run through your scene and don't know where else to meet single women. Of course, there are also games for lesbians who just want to have a little fun on their own without any drama or long-term commitments.
Lesbian Speed Dating
If you're interested in having some fun while you get to know new romantic prospects, many cities host lesbian speed-dating events. These get-togethers are usually held in bars, sometimes on a monthly basis. Participants each get a notepad and a number. Half the players are seated at tables, while the other half rotate from table to table. Once a pair is seated, a timer is set and they have three minutes to acquaint themselves. When the three minutes are up, they move on to the next candidate, until all the participants have cycled through the lot. Players are encouraged to asked penetrating questions and make notes about the women they meet. At the end of the night, pairs that hit it off can exchange contact information and make plans to meet up on their own.
If you're into lesbian dating games in which you don't actually have to interact with any other human beings, then the Sims might be for you. The Sims is a life-simulation game created by Electronic Arts in which you can create a character and build a life for her. You can make your Sim look just like you, or your favorite celebrity. Then you can build her a house, educate her and choose a career for her. When she's ready to settle down, she can date, woo and marry another female Sim and the happy couple can build a home, share a bank account and adopt children together.
Lesbian Second Life
Second Life, an online role-playing game, might interest lesbians who want a compromise between meeting real-life singles in person and creating virtual Saphic utopias. Second Life is an online game in which players create their own avatars, designing their looks and outfits however they see fit. These avatars can then interact with other players' avatars in bars, businesses, clubs and basically any place you could interact with people in real life. Second Life has lesbian bars and clubs, and players can join Second Life lesbian communities. Second Life recently enjoyed an increase in popularity with lesbian communities thanks to the L-Word island, where players can interact and play games with characters from the popular L-Word series.
