Women analyze, over analyze and tear their hair out trying to understand relationships and how to get and keep a man. Probably the biggest problem women have with relationships in general is that they stress too much about them. Women can have a more successful relationship if they relax a little and think more like a man would in terms of what they want.

Have a Plan

Entering a relationship with a plan can mean you have all of your cards on the table. This doesn't mean that you should start a first date by talking about how many children you'd like to have, but instead knowing what you want and how to get it. For instance, if you're looking for a long-term relationship, stay away from the bar scene where all you'll likely find is one night stands. Going into a relationship with your eyes closed and without a plan can only lead to disappointment when things don't turn out your way. Know what you want, how you're going to get it and what to do with it when you finally have it.

Set Requirements

Know what kind of guy you want, and don't lower your standards for anyone. This doesn't mean writing a list a mile long and dumping any guy who doesn't fit the mold. Choose five things that are the most important requirements for a guy to have in order to date you and don't budge. Your worth as a woman is directly related to what you do with that worth. If you offer it up to anyone, it lowers. Don't lower your standards because you haven't had a date in a while. Be powerful, and find the guy that fills your requirements without any ifs, ands or buts.

Set the Pace

Set the pace for a relationship by showing early on what you expect of a partner. Consider whether you progress quickly or slowly, both physically and emotionally. The slower you go (within reason), the more likely you'll be able to keep a man. Make sure that you show the treatment that you expect by not accepting anything less. If you want the door opened for you, then wait until it is. When you do it on your own, your man will think that it's not necessary. Treat yourself the way you want to be treated by your partner, and treat him with the respect that you expect in return.
