Romantic Weekend Getaways in Eureka Springs, Arkansas

The National Register of Historic Places lists the entire town of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, as the Eureka Springs Historic District. This historic town surrounded by the Ozark Mountains started as a spa town in the late 1800s. Eureka Sunset Lodge & Cabins, called “Cabins in the Treetops,” features rustic cabins elevated above the ground on its six-acre property. Owners Becky and Fred provide romantic weekend getaway packages for newlyweds or couples who just want to get away. The Sunset Getaway packages includes two nights in a cabin or cottage-style room, complimentary champagne or sparkling water, dinner for two and two trolley ride passes. Couples can customize their package, adding massages for two, getting flowers delivered, matching robes and horse-drawn carriage rides.

Cottage-style rooms feature two-person hot tubs, fireplaces and private balconies in the treetops. Cabins contain stone fireplaces, full kitchens, hot tubs, dual-headed showers and washer/dryer facilities.

The Retreat at Sky Ridge

The Retreat at Sky Ridge sits on a 135-acre wooded property near Beaver Lake. The retreats original cabin was constructed in 1885 and the property now features seven fully-furnished cabins. The retreat is a designated bird sanctuary, so guests hear birds sing songs on the premises. Its 2010 Unforgettable Anniversary package consists of two nights in one of its two honeymoon cottages overlooking Beaver Lake, champagne and flowers, a canoe trip on White River and two tickets to the Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge in Eureka Springs, a wildlife sanctuary for abused and neglected big cats.

Honeymoon cabins have hot tubs, walk-in showers, fully-equipped kitchens, wood-burning fireplaces and cover porches.

Basin Park Hotel

The 1905 Basin Park Hotel is still in its original building in downtown Eureka Springs. The hotel has a partnership with the 1901 Gavioli Chapel to help couples with their wedding plans, from rehearsal dinner to the reception. The hotel's anniversary celebration packages includes two nights in a Jacuzzi suite, breakfast for two, dinner at the hotel’s Balcony Restaurant and two full-body massages at Serenity Spa. Couples spa packages at the hotel features town full Swedish body massages, two refresher facials and complimentary spa gifts.

Jacuzzi suite amenities are king-sized beds, wet bars and sitting areas. Two-room whirlpool suites have refrigerators, microwaves, sofas and two-person hot tubs.
